Family @ Washington DC

Few momentsfrom our DC Trip. Thrid trip to DC and still lot to cover. The city feels like a giant library. So much to see, so much to read and so little time. The portrait museum and the new Indian section in Smithsonian were something new this time. Not to mention the spy museum.bpic2 bpic1

Unaware

“Be aware” seems to be the mantra. Being aware of the surroundings , feeling the breath, be conscious of the events going around and be a part of the world around. But the best moments happens when we are completely unaware. When we dream, when we kiss, we lose ourselves to find us, magic happens ..when we are completely UNAWARE!

Prom Girl – Shravani

Few pictures of the beautiful Shravani on her prom day. Cant go wrong when the evening sun creates the perfect ambience and  a lovely girl shining even brighter. Tried a different kind of edit with an emphasis on the blacks and shadows and I think it worked well for these pictures.

The Woeful Bride

Call me heartless, but I think sad, melancholy pictures have more beauty and depth than pretty pictures. Or it could be the contradictions that coexist in those pictures. Did a bridal shoot to please the saddist in me 😉 And here is Mimi’s poem which was my inspiration.

The Woeful Bride

Tears roll,

down her satin face,

unveiling the sorrow,

of her loss.

Her heart drops,

and a cry,

of agony,

escapes her throat,

as she sinks to the ground.

Ring still in her hand,

The Woeful Bride.

Dandelion Wishes

For a photo hobbyist weekend start is the start of clicks, edits and admiring pictures. And hopefully someday it will be weekend all week long😊.Today the prom girl, her ethereal dress, the greenery altogether instantly took away my friday fatigue.Let all her wishes come true.Canon 5DM3 with my everyday lens 70-200mm.I had 20 minutes to take her pictures, managed a few.I am becoming addicted to textures and if anyone wants to learn textures here is a straightforward video. Enjoying the pictures and the divine voice of Sami Yusuf😚.

Amma&Me

Tender moments captured with all its beauty and color in the most ethnic and rustic manner. That is exactly how I like all my pictures. Starting a new series this summer. So let me see how many moms and daughters would like to have this photoshoot done 😊 Last weekend I got the perfect mom and daughter from the neighborhood ( PS : I find all my models in my neighborhood 😉 ) to kickstart this. Meet my friends Tinku and Diya! And have to give credit to my friend Tinku for the the right outfits and makeup.td8Canon 5DM3 with the 70-200 . No tripod as I never get any good shots from a tripod. And as you see rolling on the mud seems to give the most appealing pictures .Bit of touch ups on the faces, bit of color and texture added especially to the background.Who would believe that these weren’t shot in a remote Indian village 😊 Loving the colors.Enjoy pictures!td4td3  td6 td7td1
